Data Communications Modules
Galvanically isolated wired and wireless serial-data communications solutions for the FX-2100 UMC. The FX-2100 UMC can host up to two-communications modules for use with the ATmega-2560 MCU’s three serial data ports.
FX-2500 Series Wired Serial Data Modules
- FX-2510 RS-232 Transceiver: Two independent TIA/EIA-232 compliant half-duplex/full-duplex serial data channels
- FX-2520 RS-422/485 Transceiver: Single TIA/EIA-422/485 compliant full-duplex serial data channel
The FX-2510 and FX-2520 are galvanically isolated and are ideally suited for systems with different grounds allowing for large common mode voltages. They are fully protected from short circuit, over voltage, and electro static discharge (ESD) events.
FX-2600 Series Wireless Serial Data Modules
FX-2610 & FX-2620 XBee wireless serial data modules utilize Digi-International XBee RF data transceivers to provide wireless serial data connectivity between FX-2000 systems or FX-2000 connectivity to a customer XBee equipped application.
The modules operate using the 802.15.4 native XBee protocol in the industrial scientific and medical (ISM) 2.5 GHz band and conform to FCC §15.247 as well as various international standards. The FX-2600 series wireless serial data modules are available in two transmitter output-power levels, 60 mW (FX-2610) and 1mW (FX-2620).
